My scientific interests encompass fundamental and applied research focusing on different disciplines of geoscience and environmental science including geochemistry, hydrogeology, fluid-rock interactions, mining/industrial environments, reactive fluid flow & contaminant transport, electrostatic interactions at charged mineral surfaces, electrokinetic transport & engineered remediation, ground- & mine water management, multiphase flow & transport, and numerical modeling. I have been working at establishing fundamental process-based understanding that are relevant for characterizing solute transport & reactive interactions in porous media. I like combining experimental and modeling techniques for a quantitative understanding of complex and coupled physical, electrochemical, and biogeochemical processes.
