I´m a marine geologist specialized in coastal sedimentology and biogeochemical processes. In my research, I combine a wide array of sedimentological and biogeochemical methods from seismoacoustic profiling to nanoscale in situ microanalyses. My research is focused on the reconstruction of past variations in coastal eutrophication and hypoxia as well as on the sequestration mechanisms of trace metals in diverse sedimentary environments. I work onboard various research vessels, where my duties include seismoacoustic data aquisition and sediment coring.
