GTK can offer the customer pre-feasibility studies and feasibility studies for managed aquifer recharge (MAR) solutions, as well as expert services for piloting and full-scale implementation.

The majority of the world’s freshwater resources are groundwater. In addition, surface waters often interact with groundwater in one way or another. There is a growing need for groundwater expertise as climate change increases the pressure on water resources.

Hydrogeological expertise ensures successful project

GTK offers its hydrogeological expertise for extensive and demanding multidisciplinary projects.

Hydrogeological research data is needed for purposes such as the management of mine waters, managed aquifer recharge solutions, risk management of domestic water (Water Safety Plan, WSP), the management of health risks caused by groundwater, and the recycling and reuse of water.

The recycling of water also enables the recovery of trace elements and valuable materials in wastewater in the mining industry and the circular economy of minerals.

In addition, our experts offer training on water resources management, related data management and the boosting of expertise.
