Magnetic susceptibility and inductive resistivity
For samples that require more sensitive measurements with specialist equipment there are two devices. For the other one the maximum diameter is 5 cm and the maximum length is 7 cm.
With this equipment mass susceptibility can also be measured on powdered samples with minimum weight 100 g. With the more sensitive equipment (Agico, MFK1-1A) measurements on rock samples are carried out on cylinders (diameter 2.5 cm, height 2.1 cm). Measurements on soil samples are made in 7 cm3 plastic cubes. Inductive conductivity measurements are performed in conjunction with susceptibility measurements. These measurements are typically suitable for samples with high conductivity, like ore samples.
