My background is Geography, soil science and geology (MSc), I have a postgraduate in hydrogeology and engineering Geology and hold a PhD in Geology. Since 2016 I lead the international cooperation at GTK. I have over over 25 years of experience in managing and supervising projects on four continents; mainly in the topics of environmental geology, natural hazards, climate change adaptation and land-use planning. Since 2020 I am also part of the project management of a large mineral exploration project. In cooperation with universities I function as an adjunct professor at the Universities of Helsinki, Alicante and UKM Malaysia and a regular lecturer at the Aalto University (Finland).
