I am a Quaternary Geologist with a Ph.D. degree. My special interest topics are superficial deposits, sedimentology and geomorphology. I have been doing fieldwork from 1979 and have work year-round from 1983. Fieldwork has been in Quaternary (superficial deposits) mapping, aggregate investigations and groundwater studies. GIS skills I have learned in the early 1990’ies. Currently LiDAR data interpretation and use is a skill much in use.
During the last twenty years I have been participating and partly leading research in a variety of topics, with publications from most of them: Ancient shorelines, Glacially induced faults, Engineering geology studies of weak clay areas in the Helsinki region, Glacial features LiDAR-based mapping programme, Map database architecture, murtoo research, deglaciation history
