I develop scientific competence for management of the environmental issues of mining projects at GTK. Research topics include utilization and management of mining wastes, management of continuous and integrated mine closure, cemented paste backfilling, sustainable mining, surface water impacts of mine waters, environmental impact and risk assessment of mining projects, and risk profiling of exploration targets.
