Areas of expertise:

I have more than 20 years of experience in various environmental studies in the extractive industry including e.g. best environmental practices of mining, mine closure technologies and valorisation and exploitation of mine wastes as a part of circular economy. My main areas of expertise are extractive wastes, particularly tailings, and their long-term behaviour, management and optimisation.

I’ve worked as an expert and project manager in both research and business projects, and in addition to scientific papers, I have published various guidebooks to support sustainable mining together with environmental authorities and the extractive industry. I’ve also experience on supervisory and unit management.

As a chief expert I’m responsible for the coordination and development of research of the extractive waste management. In addition, I coordinate and act as an expert, e.g. in statements related to EIA procedures and environmental permits for mines.
