Riikka Mäki appointed Director of Human Resources, Talent Management and Legal Affairs

Riikka Mäki is responsible for the effective and strategic management of human resources and legal services as a whole, as well as the development of occupational safety and employer activities.

Mäki has more than a decade of experience in HR management and processes and competence development in international environments. She has previously worked at ABB and the Geological Survey of Finland since 2018 as HRD Manager and Deputy HR Director.

“Strengthening the human-focused working life is one of our strategic goals. We continue to implement the personnel strategy drawn up under Riikka’s leadership. Personnel strategy emphasises continuous competence development, work-life balance, and good leadership. In the current financial situation, the need to strengthen these is emphasised even more,” says Director General Kimmo Tiilikainen.

“In recent years, GTK has invested in promoting a diverse and equal culture and in developing occupational safety. I am looking forward to continuing this work as well as the strong support to promote the activities of GTK as a whole in the increasingly internationalized research centre,” says Riikka Mäki.
