GTK’s Search and Download Service Hakku Has Been Revamped
The reformed search and download service Hakku was published at the beginning of June. Changes in search background technology and layout improve customer experience and service scalability.
Hakku is a service through which customers can download GTK materials and information products for their own use. For example, publications, reports, maps, photographs and spatial data products are available in the service. Most products can be browsed and downloaded free of charge. Printed publications and some spatial data products continue to be subject to a fee.
The previous version of the Hakku service and webstore was published in 2015, and it has been one of GTK’s most popular online services since its launch. Now, almost ten years later, the service has been updated to the quality it deserves, both in terms of background technology and layout.
The new service has improved the user experience in many ways. The instructions have been clarified and the necessary functions have been positioned to be found as intuitively as possible. For many users, it is also certainly beneficial that the accessibility of the service has been optimized and is now also scalable for mobile devices.

The technical reform will enable further development of the Hakku service in the near future, which will further streamline access to GTK data and related customer service.
Welcome to explore the renewed Hakku!
