Collaboration Between Geological Survey of Finland and Metso Continues
The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) and Metso Corporation have signed a collaboration agreement related to the process laboratory services, pilot plant services, and research services offered by GTK Mintec.
Under the agreement, GTK will provide Metso with agreed-upon expert, research, and laboratory services annually.
The agreement continues the service contract signed in 2022 and extends the long-term collaboration in the field of applied research.
GTK and Metso are working to promote a sustainable and competitive mining industry, addressing the growing needs for raw materials and their processing required for the clean transition and circular economy.
“GTK Mintec’s specialist, research and laboratory services complement well Metso’s own research and laboratory services. Our ambition is to provide our customers around the world with unbiased research information on integrated solutions for sustainable processing of minerals and metals,” says Markku Teräsvasara, President, Minerals and Deputy CEO, Metso Corporation.
“GTK Mintec’s modern research infrastructure enables the high-quality provision of impartial research and expert services. We are pleased to continue our partnership with Metso, a pioneer in technologies that promote sustainable development,” says Kimmo Tiilikainen, Director General, Geological Survey of Finland.
The agreement is for two years and was signed in Espoo on June 26, 2024.
